Network Concept
The SIAA concept originated in New England with the creation of the SAN Group in 1982. At the time, many local agencies were finding it impossible to get appointments, compete against larger agencies, receive profit sharing and survive. The SAN Group has grown to over 120 members and writes over $120 Million in premiums. On the strength of this network, SIAA was encouraged to appoint Strategic Master Agencies, like IAA, throughout the country to form their own Networks linked to SIAA.

Insurance Agency Alliance History
IAA was formed in 1997 by Richard B. Ryon Insurance working directly with its strategic partner, Strategic Insurance Agency Alliance (SIAA). Our mission is to establish a network of independent insurance agencies throughout Northeastern PA in partnership with entrepreneurial spirited individuals.
